If you haven't noticed yet, Number Four Cycles is now "Number Four Bikes". Not a big change, but a change none the less. Look a little closer and you will see the addition of the word "FIVE." Ready to learn why.....
Number Four Cycles was named so 2 years ago when the brand was concieved and my family grew to our fourth boy. Now however there are 5 kids, and the fifth was a little girl. A lucky to be a live little girl hence the Titanium bike bearing the moniker "Lucky No5" So, it had to be done.... officialy it is Number Four Bikes, but I feel it will quickly morph in to "Four-Five Bikes". Time will tell
What else is going on deep in the trenches? Lucky No5 is still in prototype phase, a revision of the geometry has been proposed and will be built after some more product testing. Most of the Titanium bikes will be custom ordered, so nailing down the "ChargeHard" geometry will be more useful to source out the next round of Carbon Trail bikes, and Aluminum Hardtails. You heard me, I said Carbon!
But don't expect light weight, racer focused carbon bikes, expect a little heavier, made to take a beating big travel carbon machines. Bikes for hard charging days in the saddle, climbing (or Shuttling) to the top and smashing your way back down. Bikes that know a little extra girth means it can take a lot more punishment. As always though.... serious testing is in order before the "Bull" head will grace the headtube of any carbon frame.
If you paid attention you may of seen the word Aluminum in there too. It is a long way off, but we are cultivating relationships so when the "ChargeHard" geometry is dialed in we can work on bringing a more affordable and unique aluminum Hardtail and FS model to the table.
In the meantime.... get out there, #Chargehard, and enjoy your two wheels!
